The next stop on the Diamond League circuit is at the Bislett Games in Oslo. They have assembled some of the world's biggest track and field stars in the 1500m. Conditions were pretty warm, but started to drop below 25 degrees for this last event on the evening.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen is fresh off a spectacular record-breaking night at the Paris Diamond League meeting where he set a new two-mile world best with a time of 7:54.10. Can he make history here in oslo once again? He will compete against a dominant world-class field that includes Kenyans Abel Kipsang and Timothy Cheruiyot. Cheruiyot already ran a solid 3:31.47 earlier this year and is the only man with a faster PB than Jakob. But can he beat Jakob in this current WR shape?

Another serious contender who is worth mentioning is of course Mohamed Katir. Who won the 5000m diamond league in Paris in a world leading time of 12:52! Ans was also bronze medalist in the World championships in Eugene last year. Wel let’s get the race started!
