The 2023 Lausanne Diamond League meeting produced some amazing meeting records and world-leading performances. The men’s 5000m race, in particular, was scintillating to watch from the start to the finish. The temperature was pretty good, only 18 °C celsius although it was pretty humid.

At the 5000m for men we see an interesting showdown between Joshua Cheptegei and Berihu Aregawi. Also two other strong competitors from Ethiopia were on the startline. Selemon Barega, 10000m gold medalist and Telahun Bekele, both with sub 12:50 5k Times.
