2:17 is not the time I was looking for. I was hoping for a 2:13 or 2:14, which looking back I had it in me on the day. I poorly executed my strategy, staying in between two groups and running solo for 13 miles out of the race, wasting precious energy. I was not as patient as I wanted to be, and this is my fault and something I need to continue working on.

That being said, I am proud of putting myself out there, I made a decision to not stay with the "slower" group, I told myself I am here to race and can't stay behind. So it was my decision and I have to be proud of my race. The time is not bad, is not what I wanted or what I think I am capable of running but is not a bad time.

I am proud of my 2021, I travelled the world, woke up at 5am every day, stayed healthy and worked really hard for my goals and dreams. I am already excited for 2022, I will continue working hard for my goals and dreams until I run the time I believe I am capable of.

If you don't fail, you are not even trying, i'll say that again, if you don't fail, you are not even trying.

Thank you!
