19-year-old Nortwegian distance runner Jakob Ingebrigtsen broke the European record in the 2000m with a time of 4:50.01 at the 2020 Impossible Games in Oslo. The race was part of a virtual head-to-head race with Ingebrigtsen running with his two brothers and two others in Oslo and a Kenyan team featuring Timothy Cheruiyot competing remotely from Nairobi.
