Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway, the #olympic winner in the 1,500 meters, indicated an interest in trying the marathon within the next three to five years at the Diamond League Final news conference in Zurich. At the 2023 World Championships and the 2024 Olympic Games, Ingebrigtsen discussed running the triple (1,500m, 5,000m, and 10,000m). Ingebrigtsen responded that he always plans and thinks three to four years ahead when the subject is posed.

Before setting the world record time of 3:29.05 in the Lausanne Diamond League competition, Norwegian star #JakobIngebrigtsen told the media that he aspires to run the distance triple of 1,500 meters, 5,000 meters, and 10,000 meters at the 2023 World Championships and the 2024 Paris Olympics (like Sifan Hassan did at Tokyo 2020). At the Munich 2022 European Championships, Ingebrigtsen intended to perform the triple jump. #trackandfield
