2. Next, Georgia beat Florida in the 4x400m, with Elija Godwin getting the win at the line with a slight lean. Georgia's time of 3;02.59 was just slightly ahead of Florida's 3;02.61.

3. The USA team, with TeeTee Terry, then went on to stun the star-studded Jamaican squad in the women's 4x100m relay and take the World title.

4. At the 2021 Garmin RunningLane XC Championships, four runners from Newbury Park surpassed Dathan Ritzenhein's previous record in what was deemed the greatest high school cross country race of all time. Colin Sahlman was the leader of the pack, crossing the finish line in 14:03.

5. At the U.S. Track and Field Championships, Abby Steiner stormed to a personal best of 21.77, a world lead, to win the 200m final.

6. Sydney McLaughlin then followed with a 400m world record, shaving nearly a second off her June time and winning her first World Title.

7. Fred Kerley was also triumphant, edging out fellow Americans Marvin Bracy-Williams and Trayvon Bromell to win a 100m World title and leading the first American sweep at Worlds in the event since 1991.

8. Stanford University's Ky Robinson emerged victorious in the Boston University 5K with a time of 13 minutes and 11 seconds. Robinson was able to outrun a competitive field of runners to clinch the track and field 5000m title.

9. Eliud Kipchoge further solidified his status as one of track's GOATs with a record-breaking performance in the 2022 Berlin Marathon, lowering his marathon world record to 2;01;09.

10. Finally, Jake Wightman had a remarkable feat, coming from behind to pass heavy 1500m favorite and defending Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen on the final lap and holding on for a shocking gold medal at Worlds.
