Australian Paul Ryan took the win in 3:55.95 in the pro race at the 2022 HOKA Festival of Miles with Jack Antsy 2nd in 3:56.87
High schoolers Gary Martin (4th - 3:57.89) and Connor Burns (5th - 3:58.83) dipped under 4:00 minutes. While it wasn’t Martin’s first sub-4, it was for Burns as he broke Jim Ryun’s US high school mile record for junior class athletes, which dated back to 1964, of 3:59.0.
