We paid a trip to Boulder, Colorado to catch a workout with Josette Andrews (née Norris) before she attempts to race her first fast 5,000m as a member of the On Athletics Club.

The workout was: 5x800m-300m with 60 seconds of rest between reps and a lap jog in about three minutes between each set.

Andrews' splits (800m/300m):

2:12/46s (Spikes on for this set)

Andrews has run 14:51 twice in 2021. She just opened up her 2023 outdoor campaign by winning the Penn Relays 1500m in a meet record 4:04:.88. After the race, she told us that she is hoping to run in the 14:40 range at Track Fest (the On Track Nights stop in Los Angeles).
