In the summer of 2012, one 800 meter race completely took the world by storm. With amazing depth, incredible speed, and historic records set, the Kenyan legend David Rudisha led the way in this 800 meter race to set the still standing 2 lap world record in 1:40.91 seconds. This race is largely considered the greatest 800 meter race of all time, but when we dig a little bit deeper, we see that this race was far more incredible than many realize.
